Holiday Bazaar: The Wheaton Newcomers Club will hold its Holiday Bazaar from 6 to 9 p.m. at St. Daniel the Prophet Church, 101 W. Loop Road in Wheaton. The event will feature a variety of items for sale including handmade jewelry, handbags, accessories, clothes and more. There is a $5 entry fee. Visit www.wheatonnewcomers.org.

Concert at Wheaton College: Wheaton College will host a concert featuring the music of Molly Jenson, Strand of Oaks, Samantha Farrell, and Milano at 7:30 p.m. The performance will take place in Coray Gymnasium at 421 N. Chase St. in Wheaton. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $15 in advance or $20 at the door. Tickets are available at the Wheaton College Bookstore or at www.foggedclarity.com.

Capsule ceremony: Wheaton invites residents to take part in a dedication ceremony for a time capsule to be buried at 9 a.m. in front of City Hall, 303 W. Wesley St.

Cantigny 5K walk: Cantigny Park will host a 5K run and walk Nov. 7. Proceeds will benefit the Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans. Registration for the 9 a.m. race is limited to the first 800 entries. Registration is available at signmeup.com/64763. The entry fee of $25 includes a running shirt. Wagon tours: This fall, wagon tours of St. James Farm Forest Preserve in Warrenville will be offered. The tours will be available from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Nov. 7, 8, 21 and 22. The wagon is pulled by a tractor and can accommodate six adult passengers. On each tour, participants are accompanied by a volunteer sharing the natural and cultural features of the historic St. James Farm. Tours leave from the pavilion near the parking area. Breakfast meeting: "The Endangered Species: Christians in the Holy Land" is the theme of an informational breakfast set for 8:30 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 715 N. Carlton Ave. in Wheaton. The Rev. Don Wagner, professor and director of the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at North Park University, will discuss current events at the breakfast. Tickets are $15, $7 for students with an ID. Call First Presbyterian at 630-668-5147.

Holiday book sale: Wheaton Public Library will hold its holiday book sale from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 13, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 14 and 1 to 5 p.m. Nov. 15. The sale will feature gift books, coffee table books, first editions and more. The sale is sponsored by the Friends of the Wheaton Public Library, with proceeds going to benefit the library. Workday at Hidden Lake: The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County will hold its 10th annual "Random Acts of Kindness" workday at Hidden Lake Forest Preserve in Glen Ellyn from 9 a.m. to noon.
