With the cost of gasoline remaining high, many people have forsaken the horsepower of their cars for the foot power of their bicycles. Doug Bauer, a mechanic at the Bike Shop in Glen Ellyn, was a convert to bike riding long before gas prices recently spiked. He has been biking to and from work for the past 14 years, and hasn't let up on his preferred mode of transportation.
