Monday, Oct. 19

Battery: Jose C. Cruz, 20, of the 1600 block of Indiana Street, St. Charles, was charged Oct. 19 at 9:31 p.m. with battery at his residence after 911 received several calls in which shouting was heard, police said.

Criminal trespass: Ashley N. Johnson, 20, of the 300 block of W. Graham Avenue, Lombard, was charged Oct. 19 at 5:18 p.m. with criminal trespass at a retailer located in the 3800 block of E. Main Street, police said. Police said Johnson was issued a no-trespass notice from the Lombard store Oct. 15 which stated she was no longer allowed to enter any of the retailer's stores.

Friday, Oct. 16

Traffic: Jacqueline M. Joyce, 44, of the 200 block of S. 4th Street, St. Charles, was charged Oct. 16 at 8:08 a.m. with driving without a valid driver's license and operating an uninsured vehicle after a traffic stop at Prairie Street and S. 1st Street, police said.

Traffic: Lorenzo C. Barrera, 29, of the 1500 block of Indiana Street, St. Charles, was charged Oct. 16 at 10:31 a.m. with speeding and driving without a valid driver's license after a traffic stop in the 1100 block of Prairie Street, police said.

Drug violation: Douglas W. Jensen, 18, of the 2200 block of Fairfax Road, St. Charles, was charged Oct. 16 at 9:35 a.m. with illegal possession of cannabis (less than 2.5 grams) and illegal possession of drug paraphernalia after being called to the dean's office at St. Charles East High School in the 1000 block of Dunham Road, police said.

Thursday, Oct. 15

Traffic: Manuel Castillo-Vivaldo, 38, of the 100 block of N. 15th Street, St. Charles, was charged Oct. 15 at around midnight with driving without headlights and without a valid driver's license after a traffic stop in the 300 block of E. Main Street, police said.

Tuesday, Oct. 13

Deceptive practice: A local land company reported receiving a bogus cashier's check for $5,944 and reported it was instructed to deposit the check and send $3,356 to a furniture company via Western Union, police said. Police recovered the check for evidence.
