Plainfield Central PTSO helping needy families
PLAINFIELD -- The Plainfield Central High School Parent Teacher Student Organization is collecting monetary donations for its 17th annual Christmas drive for needy families in the school district.

The group will use the money received to provide Christmas dinner and buy gifts for needy families. Last year, it helped 36 families -- almost 60 percent more than the prior year.

"We expect this year to be as big, if not bigger," said Linda Hanley, the coordinator of the Christmas drive.

Monetary donations can be made payable to the PTSO Needy Family Drive and mailed to Plainfield Central High School, 24120 W. Fort Beggs Drive, Plainfield, 60544, attn: Audrey Stein.
