• Lake Forest is 19-3-1 this season & New Trier is 17-6-3.

• One of Lake Forest's "3" was a 4-1 loss to New Trier in September.

• Scouts are 11-0-1 since that loss to Trevians.

• Today's 6 p.m. match is an IHSA Class 3A Round of 8 super-sectional at Loyola University in Chicago.

• Winner advances to Final Four state tourney at North Central College in Naperville and will play either Neuqua Valley or Lyons at 5 p.m. Friday in the semifinals.

• New Trier is the defending state champion.

• So far in IHSA tourney play, New Trier has beaten Chicago Taft 6-3, Maine East 7-0, Evanston 4-3 and Maine South 2-0, while Lake Forest has beaten Glenbrook South 2-0, Hersey 2-0, Palatine 1-0 and Deerfield 1-0.

• Here are directions to Loyola's soccer field: Take Route 41/94 south and exit at Touhy going east. take Touhy to Western and turn right. Take Western to Devon and turn left. Take Devon to Hoyne and turn right. Field is a half-block down on right side of Hoyne. Parking is on left side of Hoyne.
