ELK GROVE VILLAGE – The Highland Park Giants boys swim team took second place Saturday at the eight-team Grenadier Swim Invitational hosted by Elk Grove High School.
Highland Park finished with 321 points, trailing only meet winner Cary Grove High, which compiled 348.
Zion-Benton High, the other Lake County school at the meet, finished fifth with 215 points.
Highland Park got a first-place finish from Brian Waskevich in diving.
Zion-Benton’s Mike Perry registered a first in the 100-yard butterfly.
