Warren, Antioch dominate North Suburban All-Conference Team

As you might expect, the best teams had the most players honored.

Division champions Warren (Lake Division) and Antioch (Prairie Division) combined to have 19 players chosen for this year's North Suburban All-Conference Football Team that was announced recently.

Warren, which went 6-0 in the rugged NSC Lake and finished the season 9-2, had 10 players honored, while Antioch, which is 12-0 and still alive in the IHSA Class 6A playoffs, had nine players honored.

The complete list of all-conference picks is as follows:

NSC PRAIRIE DIVISION TEAMS (29 players)

• Antioch (9) -- Jake Anderson, Tom Gerstner, Vinnie Holm, Travis Kwielford, Steve Lorenzini, Alec Paramski, Matt Romani, Louis Schultz and Cameron White.

• Grant (5) -- Mike Bessette, Dan Hourihan, John King, Chris Staton and Mike Ziielinski.

• Lakes (2) -- John Androus and Chris Heerema.

• North Chicago (2) -- Jimon Hill and Cameron Scott.

• Vernon Hills (7) -- DaVaris Daniels, Seb Evans, Brandon Kust, E.J. Lannan, P.J. Marsek, Eric Oberwise and Matt Peterson.

• Wauconda (4) -- Erik Blomberg, Garrett Dorsey, John Motley and Bradon Prate.

NSC LAKE DIVISION TEAMS (33 players)

• Lake Forest (4) -- Scott Covert, David Head, Connor Moutvic and Tom Rees.

• Lake Zurich (6) -- Willy Blechschmidt, John Brewer, Andre Maloney, Eddy McGlauchlin, Franko Nava and Wade Self.

• Libertyville (6) -- Eric Bialek, Nate Johnson, Eric Tasler, Brian Taylor, Josh Trees and James Zotto.

• Mundelein (1) -- Kenny Jernigan.

• Stevenson (6) -- Brad Backer, Mike Bilton, Ben Samson, Josh Vravick, Mark Weisman and Zach Wujcik.

• Warren (10) -- Leonard Brady, Eric Church, Jason Freck, Mike Liao, Tom Lindal, Ryan Maguire, Aaron Montgomery, James Poliquin, Zack Shaw and Tyreese Woodard.
