Fourth all-NSC honor for Warren's Boothe

February 27, 2008

Riddle me this Warren High girls basketball fans:

The last time Blue Devil standout Sarah Boothe was NOT named to the North Suburban All-Conference Girls Basketball Team, who was the Warren girl named to the first team?

Boothe made her fourth and FINAL appearance on the all-league team as the Stanford-bound center topped a strong list of 2007-2008 honorees.

A total of 22 girls were named to the all-conference team, with Grant leading the way with four selections. Warren and Lake Zurich each had three.

Warren won the NSC championship for the fourth straight year, beating Grant in the league's championship game.

This year's squad included a freshman (Antioch guard Andi Potkonjak ), a sophomore (Lake Forest center Claire DiMario ) and six juniors.

As for the last time that Boothe DIDN'T make the All-NSC Team, it was in 2003-2004, when she was in eighth grade.

Warren's all-conference selection that year was Guilana Lopez.
