Unbeaten Zion-Benton will be tested tonight vs. Mundelein

December 15, 2007

Every member of Zion-Benton High's boys basketball game saw action and 10 of them scored as the Zee-Bees rolled to their ninth straight win, 73-46 over visiting Wauconda on Friday in a non-conference game.

The bar goes way up for Z-B tonight when they host area power Mundelein in what will likely be the Bees' toughest game of the season to date.

Friday's game was over early, as Zion grabbed a 42-16 halftime lead.

Ronald Steward (15 points), big Markus Yarbrough (15 points), sophomore Lenzelle Smith (14 points) and junior Quintrell Love (10 points) led the winners on offense. Smith had a one-handed thunder dunk in the first period that ignited a crowd that will be much larger tonight.

Eric Grozavescu had eight points to lead Wauconda.
