Grayslake-based team fourth in tournament

November 7, 2009

Westlake Christian Academy's girls volleyball team placed fourth in a field of 13 high school that competed in the Association of Christian Schools International Tournament in Sycamore.

Coach Jean Ptasienski said her 9-6 team, "had a good season. The Eagles played very well this year."

In another successful outing, this time for postseason fun, the team defeated faculty members, taking two out of three games. It was an exciting event to watch, and for the second year in a row, the students proved too much for the faculty to overcome.
