Gurnee-based Wave win tourney

The Gurnee-based Warren Township Girls Softball's travel program, the Wave, had a successful fall program, with the age 14-under team finishing first and the 12-under team finishing second in the Pumpkin Classic in Glenview.
The Wave 14-under team went 5-0, pounding the Chicago Fireworks 11-2 in the finals.
SPECIAL TO THE NEWS-SUN The Warren Wave's age 14-under team won five straight games to bring home the big trophy from the Pumpkin Classic tourney in Glenview.
Members of the winning team included Melissa Anderson, Julie Martinez, Jill Fox, Amy Ricci, Jana Wagner, Kelly Majewski, Sam Belletini, Jazmin Bonke, Selaina Coronado, Lisiann Rodriguez, Michelle Vasin, Brooke Ross, Jenny Carpenter and Shannon McKeon. The team was coached by Lou Bulletini. He was assisted by Craig Ricci, Scott Bonke, Jeff Carpenter and Doug Wagner. YOUTH SOFTBALL
