When Naval Station Great Lakes reopened its Fourth of July celebration to the public for one day last year, they figured they drew in roughly 25,000 people. This year's celebration runs for two days. And the patrons didn't take long to show up. Just after noon Friday, a few hundred people milled around the base on the grounds of Ross Field, where they were met with games, rides, food and an assortment of entertainment.
