    Waukegan Main Street decorated downtown Waukegan for the holidays after learning the city did not have the budget for it. Main Street assembled volunteers and put them to work Sunday morning. "Waukegan Main Street is working really hard to pull this together. Without Waukegan Main Street, it (holiday decorating) would have slipped through the cracks," said a Main Street board member.<br><br>

    Officials are still investigating the death of a Round Lake man who
died Saturday evening after being struck by a car, said police Gurnee Police Cmdr. William Meyer. Larry Polejewski was struck at 6 p.m. while crossing Grand Avenue at Spruce Street. A 73-year-old driver was driving a 2003 Crown Victoria west on Grand when he struck Polejewski.<br><br>

went to her first Thanksgiving Community Dinner Saturday at the Antioch Senior Center on an invitation by her neighbor, Betty Coari, 76. "We had a nice afternoon together," said Moulton. "It was delicious." The meal was sponsored by the center, Antioch Chamber of Commerce, Piggly Wiggly and the Open Arms Mission.<br><br>

The annual tractor parade benefits A Safe Place.<br><br>
