Santas press for swine flu vaccine

Forget cookies and milk. Santa wants the swine flu vaccine. Many of America's Santas want to be given priority for the vaccine and not just because of those runny-nosed kids. There's also the not-so-little matter of that round belly. Research has suggested obesity could be a risk factor.

Most kitchen failures can be fixed with a little ingenuity and flexibility. If the buttered carrots morph into carrot soup or the cake becomes �pudding� at the last minute, no one needs to know that isn�t what you�d planned all along. The most important thing is to keep your cool.

Immigration center named for Father Gary

About five years ago, Father Gary Graf, the Catholic priest and former pastor of Most Blessed Trinity Parish in Waukegan and North Chicago helped found an immigration center in a former Catholic school building at on 10th Street in Waukegan. On Friday it was named in his honor.
