Lake County floods
It was a beautiful day Tuesday, but for some residents of the Fox River Springs subdivision near Antioch, it was day to think about filling and stacking sandbags.
"Mother Nature is dealing us a bad hand," said Antioch Township Highway Commissioner Mark Ring.
Rob Rinkenberger (left) of the Fox Waterway Agency and Pete Jakstas, owner of Mineola Marina, accompanied by daughter Karen Jakstas, use their boats to push a floating, 5-acre bog back to where it belongs on Grass Lake.
