Make a Difference Day
Some painted walls while others held an indoor carnival for children. All were among the 100 volunteers from the College of Lake County who took part Saturday in the 19th annual Make a Difference Day.
College of Lake County freshman Teresa Herring, 22, of Zion and a member of the Black Student Union helps Dayden Crawford, 4, of Wauconda put the jellyfish in Sponge Bob’s net during a carnival for kids at the Family First Center of Lake County at Jesus Name Apostolic Church in Waukegan. College of Lake County students volunteered at this event as part of Make A Difference Day.
