Right to Live protest
At least for a few hours Wednesday morning, traffic along Route 173 between Antioch and Fox Lake slowed down. Protesters along the side of the road held signs that read "Reduce Speed" and "safetyonroute173.com." The "Right to Live" protest marked the one-year anniversary of the horrific death of Julieanne Kriens, 20, whose vehicle was smashed between two semi-tractor trailer trucks just 100 yards away from the protest site.
Gabby Keenan, 12, Lindenhurst, Lisa Ronzio, Antioch, and Karen Noel, Johnsburg, participate in the "Right to Live" demonstration on Rte. 173 in Antioch. It is the 1-year anniversary of the death of Julieanne Kriens, 20, who was crushed between two gravel trucks on Route 173 in Antioch.
