Cardboard boat race
There were 20 participants in Lake Villa area's ninth annual cardboard regatta Sunday. Most people built their boats the morning of the race. Cardboard and duct tape were provided.
Eduardo Tapia, 10, of Round Lake and Kyle Kunde, 6, of Lake Villa manage to keep their cardboard boat afloat during the cardboard regatta at Lehmann Park in Lake Villa on Sunday.
