Independence parade
Wheelchairs decked out in crepe paper. Poster-size renderings of the American Flag. A Statue of Liberty costume. These were among the decorations in a special Fourth of July parade held Thursday morning at Laremont School in Gages Lake. About 80 special education students participated in the event.
Jenna Lombibao, of Vernon Hills, is decorated for the Laremont School parade but discovers it is a good time for a nap.
