A variety of famous Waukeganites
I work at the Jewel Food Store on Green Bay in Waukegan.
My mother's boss went to Waukegan High School, got a yearbook and Jerry Orbach was in it. Jerry Orbach was on "Law and Order" from 1992 to 2004.
Jack Benny was a comedian. He went to Waukegan High School. He went into vaudeville as a violinist, was also in movies, on radio and television.
They named a junior high school after him.
Neil Flynn plays a janitor on "Scrubs." Otto Graham was a football player for the Cleveland Browns from 1946 to 1955. Vincent Price grew up and lived in Waukegan. George Chandler played Uncle Petrie Martin on "Lassie" from 1958 to 1959.
Ray Bradbury was a science fiction author who wrote such novels as "Fahrenheit 451" and now lives in California.
Connie Marie Brazleton was on "ER" from 1994 to 2003. Brian Traxler was a baseball player for the Dodgers and for a Japanese team. Debbie Fields is a researcher for "The Face."
