I was in History Club shows with him/Double dating with Jerry Orbach

March 30, 2009

I was born in Waukegan, and it was a great city. I always took my daughter to Kilbanes Candy Shop & Restaurant for her egg salad sandwich and a phosphate. It was an exciting little trip for her.

I also went to East Campus High School and graduated in 1951. I knew Jerry Orbach and was in History Club shows with him. Those were the good old days. He was on "Law & Order" for many years. He could sing, dance and act.

I've always loved Waukegan and the good memories will always stay with me.

Double dating with Jerry Orbach

My best friend and maid of honor, Marie Brown, dated Jerry Orbach. My husband, Tony, and I double dated with them to the Grad Hop. We had some fun times with them for a couple of months. Even though Jerry was considered a rough guy by some, we didn’t think he was. His parents worked at the dime store and they were super.
