Tim Abelgore Putting in overtime pays off for driver

April 22, 2008

My amazing person to deserve special recognition is Tim Abelgore, an activities person at Bayside Terrace. He has been here somewhat over a year now and got hired by head of activities, Judy, here at Bayside.

He is the best of the crop person, who drives everywhere for Bayside, along with just a few other activities people -- to coffee outings, movies in Zion and to the park for music. He does all monthly birthday parties, dancing with us here at Bayside, library trips, store outings and Wisconsin trips from this distance.

He has a son named Jeff and he tells us about what they get done on Tim's only two days off from Bayside. Tim works five days out of seven, plus holiday hours which he has to put in so we at Bayside have things to do with clock time.

He does two different cooking classes, diet and regular. He goes to the store first for the items then the last of his time doing the cooking and cleanup of dishes.

He has inspired my outlook in life by his gentleness toward the days of coming here and getting asked by certain people how he is doing and he says pretty good for an old guy, which he is just middle age, I think.

I want to dedicate his name to a list of people who deserve special recognition for always being on time to come here, plus living in a different town to get here.

He takes home sewing for us and warms up the van before we get going on outings of his. He is tops in learning his jobs in a short time. He does walks down the hallways and outdoors in good weather. He is a wonderful person with a son. He says he enjoys their time together. He did Easter egg hiding here for his first time. He liked us looking for them, too.
