WAUKEGAN Residential Burglary: Jewelry, cash and a computer were taken from a home in the 400 block of Baldwin Avenue on Oct. 19. According to a police report, a box containing a gold necklace and several rings was taken from a bedroom along with $218 from a dresser drawer, and a Dell computer was taken from a TV stand.

Retail Theft: Darryl Smith, 39, of 2419 N. Jackson St. was arrested and charged with theft following an incident Oct. 17 at Wal-Mart, 3900 Fountain Square. Smith allegedly took two long-sleeve shirts and seven neckties, together valued at $65. Police Beat
