The fact that the Heroes Memorial has sat dormant for four years in shambles is the fault of the evil Gurnee Village Board and is in no way the fault of Trustee Morris. It has taken several Village Board meetings of Trustee Morris supporters, from everywhere but Gurnee, to finally get that across. Have all of you forgotten that it was a veteran that brought the condition of the memorial to the attention of the board? The reason it has sat dormant and become an eyesore is because the village of Gurnee allowed it to get that way by not being involved. We can only hope that those in charge of Washington, D.C., are liberals. They are not! They are totalitarian statists whose main goal is to have government increase control over the individual citizen. That is scary and has been done many times throughout history with devastating results. Stay awake, people, and do your research! For most young adults, it is probably cheaper to pay the fine than to buy health insurance. Why not just rely on free emergency treatment like the illegal aliens do? Lucky for them everything is for free. This is one of those faults about President Obama's health plan. We must look out for China and not be misled by the Middle East. The USA saved the world from Hitler, but China played no role in the rescue. China was behind the scenes in the Korean and Vietnam wars. Today, China owns us financially, and we will be destroyed by China without one missile being launched. The USA is doomed because we are losing the war on money and debt to China. Look out, China is knocking at our door. Teachers work nine months out of 12. This is like getting 70 days, or 14 weeks, of vacation that the rest of us don't get. That in itself is huge. Almost all professional positions require that work be brought home. Basically, it comes down to this: Quit whining and asking for raises. You have a job, it pays well and there are a lot of people that wish they had a job. Ever wonder what is being secretly buried on Sunset next to a nursing home and on Pulaski just west of Green Bay Road? Thank you to everyone who helped round up the two escaped ponies on York House Road. Both of them got home, none the worse for wear. I sincerely appreciate everybody's help. For all the people who feel that Obama doesn't deserve that Nobel Peace Prize: I thought he received the prize for sticking it to the people for eight years in Illinois. One good thing that came out of the "cash for clunkers" program is that most of the Obama bumper stickers are gone. Where have all you fiscal conservatives been for the last 30 years? That's how long it's been since the Republicans have started their borrow, spend and lower tax fiscal policy. Reagan ran up the first trillion-dollar deficit, and since then the Republicans have borrowed at high interest rates and put us into the hole that we now find ourselves. Well, wherever you were, it's now time to open your wallets and pay the piper. You created the mess, but we Democrats will cover your butts and get you out of the mess. Who nominated Obama for the Nobel Peace Prize? Was it the same person who nominates ex-Gov. George Ryan every year? I got a letter from Obama asking for a donation. Why would I give him a donation when I'm not getting a raise on my Social Security next year? I'm the one who needs a donation. Beach Park has a fire chief now that came from a town of 40,000 people. Beach Park only has 13,000. The chief brought all his big ideas with him. So be careful and watch were the tax dollars go.
