Bringing change

One of the problems with our government today is that it's all about talk and not about actually acting on our country's problems. One of the areas where this is most relevant is the environment. After years of scientific studies warning about the dangers of global warming, our government has yet to take a leading international role on the issue.

I had the pleasure of joining Democratic congressional candidate Dan Seals and his campaign in an Earth Day cleanup in Somme Woods in Northbrook. Many candidates for public office talk about what they're going to do to clean up our environment, but Dan actually rolled up his sleeves, organized a cleanup activity, and joined his volunteers in cleaning up Somme Woods.

That is why I will be voting for Dan in November. I know he won't hesitate to roll up his sleeves and bring the change we need in Washington.
