The Grayslake Park District has unveiled its new, 95-acre park. Residents
turned out for a ribbon-cutting ceremony last weekend to mark
completion of Phase I of Alleghany Park. It is being partially financed
by a $4 million referendum approved by voters in 2004 to purchase and
preserve more open space within the growing park district.
