Grayslake

Fund-Raiser: Woodview Elementary School will hold a resale and coat exchange fund-raiser from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 7 at 340 Alleghany Road. There will be gently used baby, toddler and children's items, accessories and gear. Gently used coats and winter wear donations will be accepted. Bring a laundry basket for shopping. Food Drive: Grayslake North and Grayslake Central high schools are working with the Grayslake Lions Club to host its annual food drive through Dec. 4. Students and teachers will deliver fliers and bags to residents Wednesday through Nov. 11. Donations will be picked up from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 21. On Dec. 5, Grayslake Lions Club members, along with students, will deliver boxes of canned food to families in District 127. The Grayslake Lions Club also provides turkeys, potatoes, apples and milk. Performance: Grayslake North High School will present the Green Room Theater Company's production of "Anatomy of Gray" by Jim Leonardat 7:30 p.m. Nov. 5-7 and at 2 p.m. Nov. 8 at 1925 N. Route 83. Cast members include Alyssa Klein, Jimi Williams, Jeff Wright, Sam Lawrence, Alison Macke, Jessica Shryock, Chris Lewitzke, Lauren Sagendorph, and Amanda Platt . Tickets are $4-6 Nov. 5 and 8, and $6-8 Nov. 6 and 7. Details, (847) 986-3448.

Ensembles: The following student members of Grayslake North High School's music department were selected by audition to represent the school at the Illinois Music Educators Association District 7 Senior High School Festivals: Lilli Pickens, Jon Rarick, Jack Becker, Samantha Ceglarek, Amber Ponomar, Logan Voss, Alyssa Klein, Lauren Tranhan and Jessica Shryock . The following student members of the Grayslake Central High School Music Department were also selected: Caitlin Horine, Roy Pienaar, Alex Kerwin, Mystika Strawder and Jacob Schrimp .

The students will participate in the Jazz Festival Nov. 14 at Glenbrook North High School and the Senior Festival Nov. 21 at McHenry West High School.
