Spring Fest returns to downtown Antioch

May 9, 2008

ANTIOCH -- The Ferris wheel and carnival rides have returned to downtown Antioch for the annual Spring Fest over Mother's Day weekend.

The fest offers food, games and evening raffles, located near the corner of Route 83 and Orchard Street.

Spring Fest opened Thursday and continues today from 6 to 11 p.m., Saturday from 1 to 11 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to closing.

Each $16 wristband entitles the wearer to unlimited carnival rides on Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m.

The Antioch 885 Civic Club has hosted Spring Fest since the early 1970s.

It's the group's biggest fundraiser, said Club President Pat Forth.
