VENTURI BACKS MCKENNA: Lake County Republican Chairman Dan Venturi of Lake Villa has endorsed the gubernatorial ticket of Andy McKenna and Matt Murphy in the Feb. 2 GOP primary. "They represent the best chance for Republicans in 2010 to reclaim the governor's office," Venturi said.
ADVISORY COMMITTEES: State Rep. Carol Sente, D-Vernon Hills, said she will create nine citizens advisory committees to help formulate her legislative agenda in Springfield and determine the direction of community outreach. The committees are open to all residents of the 59th District and will meet on various dates this month at locations throughout the district. The committees will focus on public safety, government reform, economic development, environment, veterans, seniors, education, accessibility and young families. SCHMIDT FUND-RAISER: Lake County Board Chairwoman Suzi Schmidt, Republican candidate in the 31st Senate District, will kick off her campaign at a fund-raiser from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Nov. 12 at Antioch Country Club, Route 59, Antioch.
