Mundelein

Toys for Tots: The Mundelein Police Department will be a drop-off point for the U.S. Marine Corps- sponsored Toys for Tots program. Anyone can deposit an unwrapped, new toy in the department lobby, 221 N. Lake St. for pickup by the Marines. Toys will be accepted through Dec. 15.

Waukegan

Adult Education: Miguel Juarez Middle School has announced its first adult education courses for parents and residents. Registration is available online through the school's Web site, http://www.waukeganschools.org/juarez/ . Registration is open to all Waukegan parents and other members of the Waukegan community until Nov. 6.

CIRCLE OF WOMEN: The seventh annual YWCA Circle of Women Conference and Luncheon will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 13 at Marriott Lincolnshire Resort, 10 Marriott Drive. Keynote speaker will be Nancy Andrade, president and general counsel of Mexifeast Foods Inc. Workshop presenters will be Elaine Spangenberg, US Bank; Liz Haas, Merrill Lynch; Terri McNally-Beals, Global Capital Ltd.; and Kate Koziol, K Squared Communications. Emergency training: The fourth annual Lake County Local Emergency Planning Committee Training Seminar will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 11 at the College of Lake County, 19351 W. Washington St. Space Shuttle Commander James Wetherbee will speak on leadership in disaster response. There also will be sessions on Collaborative Emergency Planning with EMA, RCRA Training, National Weather Service, FBI Response Integration and Chem/BIO Incidents review. Registration is $25.
