Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Oakes of Waukegan have announced the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Dianne Oakes, to David Joseph Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Johnson of Waukegan.
The bride-to-be is a 1992 graduate of Elmhurst College where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree. She's also a 1994 graduate of Roosevelt University where she earned a Master of Arts degree. She is employed with HSBC North America in Mettawa.
The future groom is a 1996 graduate of Northern Illinois University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree. He is employed with Allstate Insurance Company in Vernon Hills.
A March, 2010 wedding is planned in Lake Forest.
