Hig hland Park Historical Society Museum: 326 Central Ave. (847) 432-7090. The museum is a two story Italianate Victorian house donated by Jean Butz James in 1968. The house has many interesting and unique architectural features. A free exhibit entitled "City in a Park -- Place of Natural Beauty," celebrating the work of Jens Jensen and other landscape architects of the early 20th century will be on display through November.
