Cruz's style ranges from meticulous realism to imaginative flights of fancy, from lyrical sketches to intricately layered renderings.

The Lipizzan stallions are celebrating the 50th anniversary of their ancestors' arrival in America with performances at 10:30 a.m. Wednesdays and 1 p.m. Sundays through Aug. 31.
