Outrage over attack that killed Gizmo
Gizmo, Tanya Anderson's 1-year-old Shih Tzu, died earlier this month after an unprovoked attack from a neighbor's dog.

Because of that incident, village officials are considering more stringent punishment for the owners of vicious animals. Anderson was standing in her driveway with Gizmo on a leash when two dogs off leash reportedly attacked Gizmo.

Gurnee pharmacist, customers charged in drug bust
A pharmacist has been charged with selling controlled substances over the counter without a prescription following a six-month undercover investigation.
The pharmacist, Jagga Grandhi, 59, of Long Grove, allegedly sold Vicodin, Xanax and morphine for cash at RX Tower Pharmacy, 15 Tower Court, off Washington Street near the Greenleaf Avenue medical corridor.
He was charged with 13 counts of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance and three counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance after his arrest
