Online investment firm opens in Gurnee

May 9, 2008

GURNEE -- Scottrade, a branch-supported online investment firm, has opened a new branch office at 5414 Grand Ave.

"The Gurnee branch office is a great location for our customers who live north of Chicago," said Scot Jacobs, Scottrade Gurnee branch manager. "It is easily accessible from Interstate 94 and will be more convenient for many of our customers."

Scottrade is an online stock brokerage firm that provides the tools and research for customers to make their own investment decisions. Scottrade stock brokers are available to answer account-related questions, provide customer service and offer tutorials on Scottrade's online trading services.

"We feel it is important to have branch offices where our customers work and live," said Rodger Riney, Scottrade founder, president and CEO. "While most of our customers trade online, our local offices allow us to provide a better customer experience for online investors."

The Gurnee location is one of several branch offices in the Chicago area. Since opening its first Illinois branch office in 1989, Scottrade has expanded into 13 other locations throughout the state. They include offices in Northbrook, Arlington Heights, Wilmette, Schaumburg, Park Ridge and Chicago.

The Gurnee office is open 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and can be reached at (847) 625-2433. For more information, visit www.scottrade.com.
