Credit union seeks director nominations

WAUKEGAN -- Consumers Credit Union is seeking volunteers to run for three-year terms on its board of directors.

"Our member-owners serve on our volunteer board of directors and govern the credit union, said Sean Rathjen, Consumers' president.

"Right now, Consumers Credit Union is looking for members with an interest in guiding the future of CCU and our 50,800 members. Our board consists of members with many different backgrounds. This diversity assures we explore each issue from a variety of perspectives, an approach that's served us quite well."

Serving on the board of directors is a volunteer position, with meetings approximately once per month throughout the year.

The deadline to apply is Dec. 1. The election will be held at CCU's annual meeting on March 10.
