The Naperville North Marching Huskies season ends with awards

November 3, 2009

The Naperville North Marching Huskies closed out their 2009 competitive season at the State of Illinois Invitational Marching Band Championship.

"The Sounds of Silents," an original work by director of bands Dan Moore, has received rave reviews from audiences throughout the season and earned the Huskies the coveted Crowd Appeal award.

The Huskies also marched to second place in Class 6A, received the High Achievement award for General Effect and finished fourth in Finals Competition.

The band is an all-volunteer co-curricular activity under the direction of Dan Moore, Brian VanKley and Laurie Opaczewski.
