Benet homecoming

A handful of Naperville residents were recently elected to the homecoming court at Benet Academy in Lisle.

Anne Krema, Dan Carmignani and Adam Howater were elected as senior attendants. Lizzie Sweet was elected as sophomore attendant.

Homecoming festivities included a homecoming bazaar, sponsored by the Benet Academy Mothers Club, followed by a pep rally announcing the homecoming court.

Naperville student on Candor staff

The Candor, Benedictine University's award-winning student newspaper, has named its managing editorial staff for the 2009-2010 academic year.

Among the staff members are associate editor J.T. Kuykendall of Naperville, a senior majoring in international business and economics; and Scene editor Brittany Lawler of Naperville.

The Candor publishes biweekly on Tuesdays and can also be found at www.thecandor.com . Readers can also follow the editorial staff on their blog at www.thecandor.wordpress.com .

ROTC graduate

Alanna M. Casey, a 2006 graduate of Naperville North High School, graduated from the Army ROTC (Reserve Officer Training Corps) Leader Development and Assessment Course, also known as "Operation Warrior Forge," at Fort Lewis, Tacoma, Wash.

The 32 days of training provide the best possible professional training and evaluation for all cadets in the aspects of military life, administration and logistical support.

Casey is a student at Eastern Illinois University.
