Police report: Attempted theft at car wash

These are incidents reported by the Naperville Police Department. Where charges have been filed, some of the reports include when and where the suspect was stopped or taken into custody and the nature of the charges.

Sunday, Nov. 1

Theft: Between 8 p.m. Oct. 31 and 3:30 p.m., unsuccessful attempt made to pry open two automated customer payment machines at entrance to Bill's Car Wash, 311 E. Ogden Ave.

Burglary: Between 2 p.m. Oct. 30 and 3:30 p.m., burglary reported at home at 15 N. River Road; no further details provided.

Vehicle damage: Between 11 p.m. Oct. 31 and 11 a.m., rear driver-side tire punctured and flattened on vehicle parked outside home at 1040 Douglas Ave.

Vehicle damage: Between 4:30 p.m. Oct. 31 and 9:30 a.m., front passenger-side tire slashed four times on vehicle parked outside home at 1213 W. Jefferson Ave.

Vehicle damage: Between 6 p.m. Oct. 31 and 9 a.m., rear passenger-side tire slashed and flattened on vehicle parked outside home at 242 W. Van Buren Ave.; damage estimated at $250; and vehicle damaged outside home at 241 W. Van Buren Ave.; no further details provided.

Property damage: Between midnight and 8 a.m., metal mailbox and mounting post damaged outside home at 2331 Joyce Lane; damage estimated at $100.

Vehicle damage: Between 8 p.m. Oct. 31 and 8 a.m., tire slashed and flattened on vehicle parked outside home at 1048 Douglas Ave.

Vandalism: Between 5 p.m. Oct. 31 and 2:09 a.m., rear driver-side tire deflated and raw eggs hurled and shattered against car parked in lot outside Benjamin Moore Paints/J.C. Licht Co., 419 S. Washington St.

DUI: Lauren E. Cesaretti, 23; 1:16 a.m. near Aurora and Ogden avenues; charged with DUI.

DUI: Joseph D. Meister, 21; 12:44 a.m. near Martin Avenue and West Street; charged with DUI.

Theft: Between 12:09 and 12:30 a.m., sweatshirt with wireless telephone and set of keys in pockets stolen from Total Sports Bar & Grill, 523 Fairway Drive.

Obstruction of justice: Janeshia S. Hall, 21; near 1049 E. Ogden Ave.; charged with obstruction of justice.

DUI: Mauricio E. Calderon, 24; near 95th Street and Route 59; charged with DUI.

DUI: Lori S. Cooper, 46; near 111th Street and Route 59; charged with DUI.

DUI: Jared R. Knight, 18; near Brookdale Road and Route 59; charged with DUI.

Marijuana possession: Jeremy P. Veasy, 23; near Ring Road and Washington Street; charged with possession of cannabis.

Saturday, Oct. 31

Vehicle damage: Between 5 and 11:30 p.m., tire slashed and flattened on vehicle parked in lot of strip mall at 22 E. Chicago Ave.

Vehicle damage: Between 5:30 and 10:30 p.m., driver-side tires slashed and flattened on car parked in driveway of home at 321 W. Jefferson Ave.

Vehicle damage: Between 3:30 and 10:05 p.m., rear passenger-side tire slashed and flattened on vehicle parked in rear of strip mall at 22 E. Chicago Ave.

Property damage: About 10 p.m., mailbox damaged by hurled pumpkin outside home at 404 Massachusetts Ave.

DUI: Edward Rangel, 48; 9:55 p.m. near Jefferson and Ogden avenues; charged with DUI.

Harassment: Between 7 and 9:26 p.m., 46-year-old woman reported being victim of harassing telephone calls at home at 47 Elmwood Drive.

Friday, Oct. 30

Theft: Between 5 p.m. Oct. 29 and 7 a.m., snowplow blade stolen from Indian Prairie School District 204 parking lot, 3003 103rd St.
