Former Glen Ellyn man gets three years for porn charges

WHEATON – A former Glen Ellyn man has been sentenced to three years in prison for the three counts of child pornography he faced.
Jay Whiteford, 24, of Rockford, pleaded guilty to the Class 3 felonies Tuesday in DuPage County Circuit Court in Wheaton.
A grand jury indicted the former Glen Ellyn man after the new homeowners of his former residence, in the 800 block of Highview Avenue, discovered the pornographic images of children hidden in the home, according to police.
Investigators tracked down the previous owners and a family history resulted in the charges against Whiteford.
