Police report: Retail theft at pharmacy

These are incidents reported by the Naperville Police Department. Where charges have been filed, some of the reports include when and where the suspect was stopped or taken into custody and the nature of the charges.

Sunday, Nov. 8

Retail theft: Between 8:25 and 8:32 p.m., retail theft occurred at CVS/pharmacy, 644 N. Route 59; no further details provided.

Vehicle burglary: Between 3 and 4 p.m., wallet valued at $25 and containing driver's license, four credit cards and $25 stolen from unlocked vehicle parked on street in front of home at 2221 Nottingham Drive.

Theft: Between 9 and 11 a.m., unsecured bicycle stolen from outside Excel Driving School, 412 W. Fifth Ave.

Property damage: Between 7 p.m. Nov. 7 and 9 a.m., electrical light fixture damaged on porch of home at 4915 Clearwater Lane.

Vehicle damage: Between 8 p.m. Nov. 7 and 4 a.m., rock used to shatter window of vehicle parked near St. Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church, 1500 Brookdale Road.

Vehicle burglary: Between 10 p.m. Nov. 7 and midnight, laptop computer stolen from vehicle parked in driveway of home at 1016 Sanctuary Lane.

Driving under the influence: Jacqueline L. Bahr, 24; near 75th and Washington streets; charged with DUI.

No insurance: Veronica Alvarez, 36; near Ogden Avenue and Columbia Street; charged with driving without insurance.

DUI: Todd M. McClellan, 23; near Ogden Avenue and Sleight Street; charged with DUI.

Battery: Joseph J. Havel, 45; at 333 Center St.; charged with battery.

Saturday, Nov. 7

DUI: Brian K. Philp, 35; 11:33 p.m. near 221 S. Brainard St.; charged with DUI.

Theft: Between 8:15 and 10 p.m., maroon BMX bicycle valued at $300 stolen from front yard of home at 904 S. Whispering Hills Drive.

DUI: Sung W. Kim, 47; 9:52 p.m. near Rosati's Pizza, 1935 95th St.; charged with DUI.

Vehicle damage: Between 5:45 and 8:30 p.m., sharp object used to etch scratch into finish of entire passenger-side of car parked outside home at 1305 Brush Hill Circle.

Theft: Between 7:30 and 8:20 p.m., wallet stolen from patron's purse inside On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina, 1915 Glacier Park Ave.

Retail theft: Between 6:15 and 6:23 p.m., retail theft occurred at Burlington Coat Factory, 510 S. Route 59; no further details provided.

Theft: Between 6 p.m. Nov. 6 and 4:33 p.m., box of linens stolen from porch of home at 2735 McClennan Court; box later found in neighbor's yard.

No driver's license: Benito Mendoza-Ramirez, 20; 2:19 p.m. near 1300 Iroquois Ave.; charged with driving without a license, driving without insurance and speeding.

Hit and run: Sometime before 11:42 a.m., hit and run vehicle struck and damaged vehicle parked in lot near Costco, 1320 S. Route 59.

Hit and run: About 11:07 a.m., motorist reported being victim of hit and run traffic crash near Diehl Road and Naper Boulevard.

Property damage: Between 7 p.m. Nov. 6 and 10 a.m., planter damaged outside home at 671 Wintergreen Circle.

Property damage: Between 5 p.m. Nov. 6 and 7 a.m., mailbox damaged outside home at 607 Wintergreen Circle.

DUI: Eliseo Valdez, 31; 3:48 a.m. near 95th Street and Route 59; charged with DUI after vehicle struck curb on Route 59 south of 83rd Street; Valdez pulled vehicle into private driveway and telephoned for tow truck; truck driver noted Valdez appeared inebriated and called police.

DUI: Bricio Simon-Guzman, 34; 1:56 a.m. near Ogden Avenue and Millennium Lane; charged with DUI.

Suspended license: Anthony D. Wise, 32; 1:33 a.m. near Ogden Avenue and River Road; charged with driving with license suspended or revoked for DUI following domestic dispute in apartment at 777 Royal St. George Drive.

Vehicle damage: Between 5 p.m. Nov. 6 and 12:40 a.m., two bricks used to break windshield and driver-side vent window of vehicle parked outside home at 2652 Idaho Road; damage estimated at $500.

DUI: Alyssa L. Taecker, 27; near Chalet Road and Valley Drive; charged with DUI.

Marijuana possession: Andrew L. Mathis, 28; near 75th Street and Modaff Road; charged with possession of cannabis.

Vehicle damage: Sometime overnight, vehicle damaged outside home at 6028 Rosinweed Lane; no further details provided.

No insurance: Daniel E. Cardenas, 23; near Seventh Avenue and Washington Street; charged with driving without insurance.

Friday, Nov. 6

Hit and run: Between 9:30 and 9:41 p.m., female motorist reported being victim of hit and run traffic crash near Diehl Road and Freedom Drive.

Vehicle burglary: Between 7 and 9:36 p.m., front passenger-side window shattered and GPS unit valued at $300 stolen from tan minivan parked in driveway of home at 3623 Caine Drive.

Theft: Between 9:25 and 9:33 p.m., theft reported at Dominick's Finer Foods, 1555 North Aurora Road; no further details provided.

Property damage: About 5:21 p.m., property damage reported at home at 1104 Magenta Court; no further details provided.

Shoplifting: About 3:17 p.m., unidentified woman arrested after putting merchandise inside diaper bag and then trying to leave Burlington Coat Factory, 510 S. Route 59, without paying for items.

Hit and run: Between 11:30 a.m. Nov. 3 and 12:40 p.m. today, hit and run vehicle struck and damaged fence outside home at 840 N. Sleight St.

Hit and run: Between 1:37 and 2:15 a.m., Honda Civic struck and damaged street sign near Diehl Road and Centre Point Circle.

DUI: Nicholas J. Battistoni, 25; 1:04 a.m. after being observed driving without headlights near Aurora Avenue and Washington Street; charged with DUI.

Retail theft: Justin R. Clark, 26; near Gowdey Road and Route 59; charged with retail theft.

Retail theft: Maria Z. Sady-Tyrawa, 47; at Nordstrom Rack, 2511 W. 75th St.; charged with retail theft.

Retail theft: Ross W. Anderson, 48; Sharon A. Jones, 46; and Heather M. Walgren, 28; near Park National Bank, 698 S. Route 59; charged with retail theft.

Suspended license: Marqui L. Jamison, 25; at 2368 Georgetown Circle, Aurora; charged with driving with a suspended or revoked license.

Thursday, Nov. 5

Theft: About 6 p.m., man reported losing wallet to pickpocket in stairwell of city of Naperville public parking deck, 43 W. Van Buren Ave.

Hit and run: Between 5 p.m. Nov. 4 and 4 a.m., traffic control arrow board struck by hit and run vehicle while stationed on street near Toyota of Naperville, 1488 W. Ogden Ave.
