Police report: Driving with suspended license
These are incidents reported by the Naperville Police Department. Where charges have been filed, some of the reports include when and where the suspect was stopped or taken into custody and the nature of the charges.
Thursday, Nov. 5
Suspended license: James H. Sankey, 28; 11:26 p.m. near North Aurora Road and Route 59; charged with driving while license suspended, driving without insurance and having a canceled, suspended or revoked registration.
Vehicle damage: Sometime before 7:05 p.m., vehicle burglarized while parked in lot outside Jewel-Osco, 1759 W. Ogden Ave.; no further details provided.
Theft: Between 6:31 a.m. and 6:45 p.m., credit card used fraudulently after employee's wallet was stolen from locker inside business at 175 Ambassador Drive.
Shoplifting: Sangeetha S. Chettiath, 22; 5:40 p.m. at Nordstrom Rack, 2511 75th St.; charged with retail theft after putting two pairs of shoes with combined value of $99.80 inside purse and then leaving store without paying for them.
Theft: Between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., wallet stolen from purse placed inside desk drawer at Edward Hospital, 801 S. Washington St.
Theft: About 3:40 p.m., purse stolen after woman left it unattended in shopping cart at Jewel-Osco, 2855 95th St.
Shoplifting: Sandra L. Corpus, 45; 3:27 p.m. at Marshalls, 240 S. Route 59; charged with retail theft.
Vehicle burglary: Between noon and 1:45 p.m., front passenger-side window shattered and radar detector stolen from interior windshield of vehicle parked outside home at 741 Blossom Court; total damage and property loss estimated at $700.
Disorderly conduct: About 1:01 p.m., 50-year-old motorist reported pedestrian pounded hood of his car with his fist at 221 S. Brainard St.
Shoplifting: About noon, unidentified patron took unspecified items at Mobil, 1420 E. Ogden Ave., and left station without paying for them.
Hit and run: About 9:07 a.m., motorist backed into and damaged other vehicle at 134 W. Benton Ave. and then fled from scene.
Theft: Between 6 and 6:45 a.m., wireless telephone and iPod stolen from woman at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1411 95th St.
Registration violation: Karen E. Johnson-Weathers, 48; near Cantore Road and Route 59; charged with driving with an expired registration.
Driving under the influence: Ivan Villalva, 21; near Brookdale Road and Route 59; charged with DUI.
Suspended license: Benjamin A. Honeywood, 21; near 75th Street and Route 59; charged with driving with a suspended or revoked license.
DUI: Rosa I. Molina, 39; near Aurora Avenue and Berry Court; charged with DUI.
Wednesday, Nov. 4
Property damage: Between 6:30 and 7:15 p.m., two dents made in front door of home at 704 Benedetti Drive.
Theft: About 7:09 p.m., theft occurred at Bed Bath & Beyond, 704 S. Route 59; no further details provided.
Suspended license: Anthony J. Hiatt, 28; 6:40 p.m. near Ogden Avenue and Washington Street; charged with driving while license suspended and driving without insurance.
Vehicle damage: Between 5:15 p.m. Nov. 3 and 5 p.m. today, key or other sharp object used to etch scratches into finish of vehicle parked at 1010 Fairway Drive.
No driver's license: Juana M. Bueno-Barraza, 33; 3:10 p.m. near North Aurora Road and Weston Ridge Drive; charged with driving without a license and driving without insurance.
Suspended license: Antonio Huerta, 19; 1:46 p.m. near Red Roof Inn, 1698 W. Diehl Road; charged with driving with a suspended or revoked license.
Vehicle burglary: Between 8:30 p.m. Nov. 3 and 6:30 a.m., work bag and sunglasses stolen from vehicle parked in driveway of home at 477 Staunton Road.
Monday, Nov. 2
Property damage: Between 5 p.m. Oct. 31 and midnight today, porch light fixtures damaged at home at 2628 Champion Road.
Saturday, Oct. 31
Vehicle damage: Between 6:30 and 9:45 p.m., rear driver-side tire slashed and flattened on vehicle parked outside home at 710 W. Benton Ave.
