Republicans sweep in Milton Township


April 8, 2009

It was a Republican sweep in the elections for Milton Township offices.

In the race for highway commissioner, Republican Gary Muehlfelt earned 8,864 votes to 3,741 for Democrat Sylvia Washington.

For trustee, the four Republicans won. Robert Larsen got 7,769 votes, Christopher Edwards got 7,654, Salvatore Falbo earned 7,459 and James Flickinger got 7,395 votes.

Among the Democrats running, Phyllis Chapman earned 4,522 votes, Constance Sunderhaus got 4,431 votes and Jack Boepple earned 4,365 votes.

Orrin Heidorn, running unopposed, earned 10,154 votes in winning for township supervisor.

Gail Hinkle, running for township clerk, was also unopposed. Hinkle earned 10,121 votes.

Robert Earl was unopposed for assessor, winning 9,952 votes.
