• Founder of Safekids Web program, which works with Microsoft to teach children in the fourth- to sixth-graders about how to avoid online predators.
• Performed first arrest of alleged online pedophile in 1996. A man from Tennessee shared messages online with Sullivan, who was posing as a teenage girl, and came to Naperville to meet the teen for sex. He was arrested by the Naperville police at the Route 59 train station.
• 2000 Law Enforcement Official of the Year from the Illinois Bar Association
• 2004 community service award, Citizens Appreciate Public Safety
• 2005 Jack McCambridge Police Officer of the Year, Naperville Board of Fire and Police Commissioners
