School briefs: NCC accepting comments

Comments about NCC accepted during evaluation process
North Central College will be under scrutiny Jan. 25 through 27 to make sure the school still meets national standards.

A team representing the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools will visit NCC or a comprehensive evaluation.

NCC has been accredited by the commission since 1914 at the master's degree level.

The commission is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

The public is invited to submit comments about the college by visiting www.ncahlc.org. Comments may also be addressed to: Public Comment on North Central College, The Higher Learning Commission, 30 N. LaSalle St., Suite 2400, Chicago, IL 60602.

Comments must address substantive matters related to the quality of the institution or its academic programs. Written, signed comments must be received by Dec. 18. Comments should include the name, address, and telephone number of the person providing the comments. Comments will not be treated as confidential.
