New date for bags tournament

The Youth Ambassadors Bags Tournament, originally scheduled for Nov. 1, has been postponed until Dec. 13

The event, which is open to all Naperville high-school students, will be held at The Barn at 421 W. Martin Ave. Those interested in participating are encouraged to register for the tournament at their respective schools

The Youth Ambassadors Program, which is affiliated with the Naperville Park District, is tasked with developing fun and positive activities and events for Naperville high school teens.

Central grad re-enlists in Air Force

Air Force Senior Airman Sarah M. Golloway, a 2001 graduate of Naperville Central High School, has re-enlisted in the U.S. Air Force for four more years.

Golloway, a bioenvironmental engineering journeyman with six years of military service, is assigned to the 35th Fighter Wing at Misawa Air Base, Japan.

American Samoa presentation

Naperville's Kyle Reschke will be sharing his experiences as one of the few Americans living in American Samoa with the Western DuPage Special Recreation Association group Rec & Roll.

The event takes place at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sportsman's Lodge, 735 S. West St., Naperville.

Reschke traveled to American Samoa as part of World Teach, a unique program offered through Harvard University's Center for International Development. He spent a year living and teaching on the outer islands of American Samoa.

Reschke currently is an instructor at the Naperville Rec & Roll. He has been working with WDSRA in a variety of capacities since he was 15.
