Naper Settlement is at 523 S. Webster St., Naperville. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday November through March. Admission is $4.25 adults, $3.75 seniors 62+ and $3 for youth 4-17.

Discover exciting artifacts and stories about Naperville's early history uncovered by archaeologists in 2006 and 2007 at Joseph Naper's original homestead in this exciting exhibit, "Digging up the Past -- Naperville Digs Archaeology," at Naper Settlement.
The History Speaks Lecture Series presents "City Beautiful: Celebrating the Burnham Plan Centennial," about architect Daniel Burnham's 1909 Plan of Chicago from 4 to 5 p.m. Nov. 1 at Naper Settlement's Century Memorial Chapel. Through a slide lecture given by Professor Jeff Mishur of Art Expressions, follow the transition from the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition to the City Beautiful Movement so eloquently manifested in Burnham's plan, celebrating its Centennial in 2009.
Advance tickets are $6 for adults, $5 for students, youth and Naperville Heritage Society sustaining members; tickets at the door are $7 for adults, $6 for students and youth.
Just in time for holiday shopping, the Winter Floral Design Sale features the Weed Ladies creative seasonal arrangements with silk and dried flowers at Naper Settlement. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 6-7. Admission to the sale is free.
During Victorian Secrets, to be held from 10 a.m. to noon Nov. 7, take a special behind-the-scenes tour of the Martin Mitchell Mansion, then peek into a traveling trunk as beauty and clothing secrets are revealed in the "Victorian Lady" presentation. Relax and enjoy sweet treats in the cozy Pre-Emption House Tavern. Tickets are $25 per person.
