Santa Train

The Naperville Jaycees will host their annual Santa Train rides on Dec. 5.

The popular one-hour train rides, which will be held at 10 a.m. and noon, will depart from the Fifth Avenue train station and feature favorite characters, sing-a-longs and a visit from Santa Claus.

Tickets can be purchased at www.naperjaycees.org or in person at the 5th Avenue Station from 9 a.m. to noon Nov. 14. Tickets are $15; cash only.

The Naperville Jaycees are a nonprofit service organization with more than 200 young persons dedicated to personal development through community service. Call 630-961-9375.

ROTC graduate

Jarrett W. Brotzman, a 2007 graduate of Naperville North High School, has graduated from the Army ROTC (Reserve Officer Training Corps) Leader's Training Course at Fort Knox, Ky.

The four-week course is a leadership internship for cadets that can lead to the ultimate goal of becoming an Army officer. College students experience and examine the Army without incurring an obligation to serve in the Army or ROTC and are eligible to receive two-year college scholarship offers and attend the Advanced ROTC Course at their college.

Brotzman is a student at the Virginia Military Institute, Lexington, Va.

Cookie Walk

The Guild of St. Patrick's Residence will host its annual Holiday Cookie Walk and Christmas Boutique from 9 to 11 a.m. Dec. 5.

People can buy homemade holiday cookies for their parties or as gifts. Cookies will be sold by the pound, or people can purchase them pre-packaged or stroll among the tables of a vast assortment and choose their favorites.
