Rides take place at Knoch Knolls and Seager parks through Nov. 1.
Bring your own food to cook over the bonfire or bring the fixings for smores. We provide hot chocolate and hot cider. No alcohol allowed. Picnic tables are provided. Bring your own chairs, blankets and flashlights.
Cost is $7 residents; $11 nonresidents.
This annual tradition will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Oct. 25. Dress in costume and roam the pirate ship in Adventure Alley. Find your way through King Arthur's Castle, Save time to play games in Halloween Way and Fairytale Lane.
Halloween Happening is a free Naperville Park District event and recommended for families with children 10 years of age and younger. This event is supported in part by Comcast, Buffalo Wild Wings, KidSnips, Whole Foods Market, Clif Kids and Mitsubishi Motors.
No experience necessary. One parent or guardian over the age of 18 must register and accompany children. Parents must sign an additional waiver at the facility. Registration will be taken through the Thursday before the class.
At 5:30 p.m. Nov. 14. Cost is $22 residents; $33 nonresidents.
Dates are Nov. 20 and Dec. 4, from 6:30 to 10 p.m. At Mary Lou Cowlishaw Elementary School, 1212 Sanctuary Lane.
Cost is $19 residents; $29 nonresidents.
At 9:30 a.m. Dec. 5, kids will have a festive time making a craft, playing games, enjoying refreshments and partaking in other winter wonderland-inspired fun. Then head outside to search for candy canes hidden throughout the park.
Prizes will be awarded to those who find the largest ones. Preregistration is required by Dec. 1.
Cost is $14 for residents; $21 for nonresidents.
Each young guest will have time to share their list with Santa and will receive a small, special gift.
Cameras are recommended. Attendees are asked to bring their own highchair or booster. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Registrants must indicate the name(s) of friends or family members they would like to sit with on the registration form as seats are assigned. We will do our best to accommodate seating requests. The registration deadline is Dec. 5.
Seatings will take place from 8:45 to 10 a.m. and 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. Dec. 12. Cost is 14 for residents and $21.00 for nonresidents for those 14 and up; $12 for residents and $18 for nonresidents 13 and under.
Choose from four birthday themes: dance, ages 4 and up; gymnastics, ages 3 to 6; pottery, ages 4 and up; and Wii gaming, ages 6 and up.
The party includes an ice cream cake from Cold Stone Creamery.
Learn about the history of Naperville, the Riverwalk and the Carillon at the Visitor Center. 2009 tour hours of operation are Saturdays and Sundays through November 21, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Millennium Carillon Moser Tower and Visitor Center is located along the Naperville Riverwalk near Rotary Hill. Admission is $3 for ages 5 and older; children ages 4 and under are admitted free. Anyone under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
