Music class

Brookdale Music offers "Music for Children Ages 2 to 4," a new class in which children have the opportunity to discover rhythm instruments, find their singing voice, dance and learn basic music concepts and listening skills.

Classes are held from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. Fridays, from Oct. 30 through Dec. 11. Instructor Linda Kaufman holds degrees from Southeast Missouri State and the Moody Bible Institute.

Cost is $90, plus $10 registration. Additional children $60 each with no registration fee. Parents are welcome to stay.

ROTC graduate

Kelly N. Torrico of Naperville has graduated from the Army ROTC (Reserve Officer Training Corps) Leader's Training Course at Fort Knox, Ky.

The four-week course is a leadership internship for cadets that can lead to the ultimate goal of becoming an Army officer.

Torrico is a student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Forest Preserve seeks volunteers
