Architects impressed the Naperville School District 203 board Monday with their presentation of plans for the district's new early childhood center. The $11 million facility is part of the $115 million facility improvement plan voters decided to fund this spring. It will serve 300 to 400 preschool children who have special needs.

Candace Parker wanted to focus on all of the good parts of the Los Angeles Sparks' win over the Detroit Shock. Unfortunately, it will be the final 5 seconds that everyone else is going to remember.

Naperville North High School may get more pool for its money. As part of the $115 million facility improvement plan voters decided to fund earlier this year, District 203 is set to spend $5.2 million renovating North's swimming facility.

It's a good thing for the Naperville Central baseball team that the Illinois High School Baseball Coaches Association summer state championship is not a one-and-done type of deal like the Illinois High School Association postseason.
